The official website of ITCSL was initially launched in early December 2022, with its first story dating back to 2021 when NPTU decided to establish two new departments in International College of Sustainability Innovations (ICSI); one is the Bachelor Program in Innovative Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (ITCSL), and the other is the Chinese Language Center (CLC). Meanwhile, our ITCSL administrative team mainly comes from the Department of Chinese Literature.

華語學程的官方網站於2022年12月初上線，這是「北大華語記事」的第一篇文章，然而北大華語的故事卻要回溯到2021年，當臺北大學決定要在國際學院（ICSL）轄下成立兩個新單位，分別是創新華語文教學學士學位學程（ITCSL）及華語中心（CLC）。而華語學程及華語中心的行政團隊主要由中國文學系的教師組成。

As Chinese Literature teachers in ITCSL, we are exhilarated to learn that NTPU has granted an injection of resources to Chinese Language learning to achieve the goal of globalization. We teachers can have the chance to make more learners experience the beauty of Chinese language and literature. This will create multiple win-win situations that lead to personal growth and holistic improvement.

得知臺北大學將要在華語文教學挹注資源、以此作為達到國際化的目標之一，身為中文系教師，頗有生逢其時之感，興奮之情自然不在話下。我們期待能夠藉此向國際學生傳達華文語言與文學之美，並且毫不懷疑這將會創造個人成長與整體提升的多贏局面。

Owing to the administrative team's cultural background and infiltration of Chinese literature, ITCSL is unique and distinctive compared to other Chinese language teaching units. ITCSL boasts not only flexible course arrangements but also comprehensive lectures on Chinese culture, thereby creating a profound cultural atmosphere in every corner of ITCSL.

與其他華語文教學單位相較之下，臺北大學華語學程行政團隊所具有的中華文化背景與中國文學素養，將顯出我們與眾不同的特色。我們不只有彈性課程規劃，更有對文化與文學課程的重視，相信在不久的將來，濃厚的文化氛圍將會漫布華語學程的每個角落。
